Part of having a super healthy lawn is keeping it properly irrigated. You know you need to put down around one inch of water per week in the summer, but wouldn’t you like to get the most out of your irrigation time? You don’t want to waste water that flows off target or gets evaporated in to the air right away.
That is why you should use impact sprinklers, also known as impulse sprinklers to throw water onto your turf. The best impact sprinkler will be of metal construction at least in the head area, however, there are some quality impact sprinklers made from poly blend materials these days.
These impulse sprinklers are all very high quality and don’t really cost very much. The reason I recommend the ones with the full base like that is because it allows you to keep the sprinkler in one place. If you use the types that go into the lawn with a spike, you will find that after a few minutes, the sprinkler will start to sway off target.
