Recently I showed you all how to find cheap LED Christmas lights, and today I will talk just about the white LED Christmas lights. The reasons this is important is because when it comes to LED lights, white is NOT always white! Look at these below:
What you see when you get white LED Christmas lights is that some actually appear ice blue, while others appear to be pure white. You need to decide ahead of time what you truly want.
I go on my house with “warm white” LED Christmas lights because I want that “true” white look. But others like the ice blue look.
I also buy C7 white LED lights because of the medium size that is pretty standard and still looks clean. C9 lights are a little big for me whereas the mini lights just don’t show up.
That is another thing to consider with LED lights – they are not as bright as traditional lights, so you need to stick with the C7 size in order for them to be seen.
So to summarize: with white LED holiday lights, NOT all are created equal. If you want pure white, go with “warm white” and if you want that blue ice look, go with ones that are “ice” white.
