These C9 LED Christmas Lights are the highest quality you can get. I NEVER recommend skimping on your Christmas lights, especially when you are getting into LEDs. THE LED lights tend to not be as bright as other lights (traditional holiday lights) so you want the higher quality ones to get the most out of them. THe reason I like C7 holiday lights is due to their size and ability to string multiple sets together. I am not talking, however, about LED lights per-sey when I talk about strings in  a row (more on this in a minute). The thing is that when you buy even cheap LED Christmas lights, you can string like 20 in a row anyway because they pull less current. But when you buy traditional christmas lights, you are limited to how many you can put in a row. For me, with C7, I still get a good sized light, and I can get 5 strands in a row together without blowing any fuses. If you go to C9 Christmas lights, that is unlikely to happen.

The reasons this is important is because when it comes to LED lights, white is NOT always white! Look at these below:

What you see when you get white LED Christmas lights is that some actually appear ice blue, while others appear to be pure white. You need to decide ahead of time what you truly want.

I go on my house with “warm white” LED Christmas lights because I want that “true” white look. But others like the ice blue look.

I also buy C7 white LED lights because of the medium size that is pretty standard and still looks clean. C9 lights are a little big for me whereas the mini lights just don’t show up.

That is another thing to consider with LED lights – they are not as bright as traditional lights, so you need to stick with the C7 size in order for them to be seen.

So to summarize: with white LED holiday lights, NOT all are created equal. If you want pure white, go with “warm white” and if you want that blue ice look, go with ones that are “ice” white.

I love organic fertilizer for lawns! It is the number one way to make your soil rich while growing a super nice turf at the same time. I have always said that organic lawns look better than their synthetically treated counterparts.

There are any number of organic lawn fertilizers available, and not all of them are created equally. In fact, the biggest difference is whether you are going to get a natural liquid lawn fertilizer, or a dry/granular one. Personally, I think both have advantages. Let’s talk about them:

Organic Liquid Lawn Fertilizers

These are most normally applied to the lawn through a hose-end sprayer, or sometimes with a pump sprayer. The organic lawn fertilizers delivered from a hose end sprayer are definitely easy to use and apply. They also make the nutrients immediately available in the soil. This is a huge advantage when you are looking at times of the year when it is a little cooler outside. (as opposed to organic granular fertilizers that won’t release nutrients until they have adequate heat)

The only downfall to liquids in the organic form is that they stink – big time! :) Here are some high quality liquid organic lawn fertilizers cheap.

Organic Granular Lawn Fertilizers

When it comes to organic fertilizer for lawns that are dry, there are only two that I recommend. These are Milorganite and Ringer Lawn Restore. If you use both of these in conjunction with some liquid treatments, you will have super healthy soil and turf. The granular organics release nutrients very slowly over time which prevents lawn burning, but also makes the lawn come along slow and steady… and slow and steady growth is healthy.
